Your Garden Should Be A Haven
“The lesson I have thoroughly learnt, and wish to pass on to others, is to know the enduring happiness that the love of a garden gives.”

I love creating, tending to, and just being in gardens. Fortunate enough to have been steeped in the art, science, and craft of working in the garden and the land since a very early age, I bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to my business of garden design and installation
I am a seasoned designer, craftsman, and gardener, with a keen physical and spiritual understanding of what it entails to create special gardens. I welcome the opportunity to help you.
I make gardens from design conception through to full installation. All gardens need ongoing upkeep and I offer that as well. I work directly with clients to help realize their desire and dream for a garden haven of their own. I also collaborate with fellow designers and garden professionals to help their projects come to life.

PROFESSIONAL AUTOBIOGRAPHY
Some of my first memories as a toddler are of playing and being with my family in gardens in the English countryside where we lived. Early in elementary school, we moved to Manhattan where I walked to school daily through Central Park. I was lucky to have spent most of my school vacations and weekends at an upstate farmhouse my family bought as an opportunity to garden and explore rural New York.
As a teen, I worked on the neighboring dairy farm and for a general contractor specializing in woodwork and carpentry. As a young adult living in Santa Fe, NM and Berkeley, CA, I trained with and worked for skilled stonemasons, expert local gardeners, an ecological restoration company, and served as a crew leader at an acclaimed residential landscape design/build company.
I earned a Masters of Landscape Architecture degree at UC Berkeley, and have been a licensed landscape contractor specializing in residential garden design and installation in the Bay Area since 2003. I make my home with my family of two daughters and a goldendoodle in a cozy and comfortable bungalow in West Berkeley.
